About Mark Riggall Electrical Services

Electrical History
________________________________________

2000 - 2005

During my first 5 years I worked mainly on domestic installations. I have worked on new builds
for both local building firms and larger companies such as Taylor Wimpey and Abbey Homes.
I also worked on a number of jobs for private customers from alterations of circuits to full re wires.

2005 – 2010

After gaining my qualifications in 2004 I started working by myself. I worked more on commercial and industrial installations. I worked in various office environments installing PVC trunking system, fire alarms, and data cable work. I did a number of pub refurbishments for Charles Wells brewery in the Bedfordshire area working on power and lighting circuits as well as outside lighting and PVC conduit work.
In 2007 - 2009 I work in St Ives and Huntingdon on some industrial installations performing work from scissor and articulating boom lifts ( Cherry pickers ). I wired a brand new unit with new circuits, 3 phase consumer units, metal conduit and SWA. I also did work for a company installing lighting circuits using metal trunking and high efficiency fluorescent light fittings. Finally I did two installations in Bluntisham wiring brand new units. One in SWA with a new 3 phase consumer unit supplying power to metal clad sockets and high bay light fittings. The other, a smaller unit with single phase consumer unit, fluorescent light fittings and PVC trunking.

2010 – 2015

For the last five years I have been working mainly for a plumbing and heating company working on the heating controls. This work has given me a good understanding of the nature of domestic and industrial heating installations. I have worked on simple combi boilers, Y and S plan fully pumped systems, renewable installations – heat pumps, solar thermal, solar PV. I have also worked on larger industrial installations working with relay controlled systems, both design and installation.

2015 - Present day

Having moved away from heating installations I decided to go it alone and set up my company. I have varied my work from small domestic installations and alterations, to large scale commercial work. As a company we offer a wide range of electrical installations for both private customers and local authorities.
